NECTA yajipanga matumizi teknolojia Akili Mnemba
ARUSHA; BARAZA la Mitihani la Taifa (NECTA) limesema limejipanga kutumia teknolojia ya Akili Mnemba (AI) kuboresha mifumo ya utahini na tathmini ya elimu nchini, likisisitiza kuwa Tanzania haiwezi kubaki nyuma wakati teknolojia hiyo ikiendelea kubadili sekta mbalimbali duniani.
Katibu Mtendaji wa NECTA, Profesa Said Mohamed, amesema hayo leo jijini Arusha wakati wa Mkutano wa 42 wa Mwaka wa Shirikisho la Vyama vya Tathmini ya Elimu Afrika (AEAA), unaofanyika kuanzia Agosti 17 hadi 21, mwaka huu.
Amesema mkutano huo umehusisha washiriki kutoka nchi 28 za Afrika na nje ya bara hilo, kwa lengo la kujadili matumizi ya AI katika elimu, hususan upimaji, tathmini na utahini.
Amesema maendeleo ya teknolojia yamekuwa sehemu muhimu ya maisha katika karne ya 21, huku AI ikiwa miongoni mwa teknolojia zinazoendelea kubadili kwa kasi sekta mbalimbali, ikiwemo elimu.
Kwa upande wake, Katibu Mkuu wa Wizara ya Elimu, Sayansi na Teknolojia, Profesa Carolyne Nombo, akifungua mkutano huo kwa niaba ya Waziri wa Elimu, Sayansi na Teknolojia, Profesa Adolf Mkenda, amesema matumizi ya AI katika mifumo ya elimu yanapaswa kulenga kuimarisha ubora na ufanisi wa tathmini, badala ya kuchukua nafasi ya uamuzi wa kitaalamu wa wataalamu wa elimu.
Amesema maendeleo ya AI yanatoa fursa kubwa katika kuboresha mifumo ya tathmini, lakini yanahitaji matumizi yenye uwajibikaji, uadilifu na kuzingatia utaalamu wa binadamu.
