Samia Suluhu Hassan, kwa mamlaka aliyonayo chini ya kifungu cha 3 cha Sheria ya Tume ya Uchunguzi, Sura ya 32, ameunda Tume huru ya uchunguzi wa matukio ya uvunjifu wa amani yaliyotokea nchini wakati na baada ya Uchaguzi Mkuu uliofanyika Oktoba 29 mwaka huu.
Kwa mujibu wa taarifa iliyotolewa mjini Dodoma na Katibu Mkuu Kiongozi, Balozi Dk. Moses Kusiluka, Rais Samia pia amemteua Jaji Mkuu Mstaafu wa Mahakama ya Tanzania, Mohammed Chande Othman, kuwa Mwenyekiti wa Tume hiyo. SOMA: Rais atangaza Baraza la Mawaziri la kimkakati
Wajumbe wengine walioteuliwa ni Jaji Mkuu Mstaafu wa Mahakama ya Tanzania Profesa Ibrahimu Khamis,Katibu Mkuu Kiongozi Mstaafu Balozi Ombeni Sefue , Balozi Radhia Msuya, Balozi Gen.
