Mwenge wapongeza ujenzi barabara Marahala–MSD
KAGERA: MBIO za Mwenge wa Uhuru Kitaifa mwaka 2026 zimepongeza ujenzi wa Barabara ya Marahala–MSD yenye urefu wa kilomita 0.49 iliyojengwa kwa kiwango cha lami wilayani Muleba, mkoani Kagera.
Barabara hiyo inatarajiwa kurahisisha mawasiliano na usafirishaji kati ya wananchi wa vijiji vya Magata, Nshamba, Muleba Mjini na Hospitali ya Wilaya ya Muleba, pamoja na kurahisisha shughuli mbalimbali za kiuchumi katika maeneo hayo.
Kiongozi wa Mbio za Mwenge wa Uhuru Kitaifa mwaka 2026, Wazo Michael Mwang’onda, amepongeza ubunifu wa Wakala wa Barabara za Vijijini na Mijini (TARURA) kwa kuhakikisha wananchi wa Wilaya ya Muleba wanaendelea kunufaika na miundombinu bora ya barabara.
Mwang’onda amesema Serikali itaendelea kutekeleza miradi ya barabara katika maeneo ya vijijini kwa lengo la kurahisisha mawasiliano, biashara na shughuli za kiuchumi, huku akiwataka wananchi kutumia fursa zinazotokana na miradi hiyo kuimarisha maisha na kuinua uchumi wao.
Kwa upande wake, Meneja wa TARURA Wilaya ya Muleba, Dativa Semforini, amesema barabara hiyo imekamilika kwa asilimia 100 na imewekewa taa za barabarani, hatua inayowawezesha wananchi kuendelea na shughuli zao za kibiashara hadi nyakati za usiku.
Amesema ujenzi wa barabara hiyo pia umerahisisha utoaji wa huduma katika Bohari ya Dawa (MSD), ambayo hapo awali ilikuwa ikikabiliwa na changamoto kutokana na magari makubwa yanayofanya shughuli za usafirishaji katika bohari hiyo.
Mmoja wa wananchi wanaotumia barabara hiyo, Self Mzamiri, amesema Serikali imetatua changamoto ya muda mrefu ya upatikanaji wa barabara yenye kiwango cha lami katika eneo hilo.
Amesema tangu barabara hiyo iwekwe lami, wamekuwa wakishuhudia kasi ya ujenzi wa Hospitali ya Wilaya ya Muleba, ambayo kwa sasa imekamilika.
Ameongeza kuwa uwepo wa barabara hiyo utarahisisha shughuli za afya, biashara, upatikanaji wa masoko pamoja na mahitaji mengine ya kijamii na kiuchumi kwa wananchi wa maeneo yanayozunguka barabara hiyo.
