Serikali kuweka vituo kupoza umeme kila wilaya
TABORA: Waziri wa Nishati, Deogratius Ndejembi, amesema Serikali kupitia Shirika la Umeme (TANESCO) itahakikisha inajenga vituo vya kisasa vya kupokea, kupoza na kusambaza umeme katika kila wilaya.
Amesema lengo kuhakikisha umeme unaozalishwa unawafikia wananchi kwa uhakika na kuwawezesha kunufaika na fursa mbalimbali za kiuchumi na kijamii.
Ndejembi ameyasema hayo Februari 14, 2026, wakati akikagua maendeleo ya Kituo cha Kupokea na Kupoza Umeme cha Uhuru kilichopo Urambo, mkoani Tabora, ambacho kina uwezo wa megawati 27 na kinahudumia wilaya za Urambo na Kaliua.
Amesisitiza kuwa Tanzania inazalisha umeme wa kutosha unaokidhi mahitaji ya nchi, lakini changamoto iliyopo ni miundombinu ya usambazaji, kwa kuwa baadhi ya wilaya zinapata umeme unaosafirishwa kwa umbali mrefu.
“Kwa sasa nchi yetu ina umeme mwingi, uzalishaji ni mkubwa kuliko mahitaji ya nchi. Hata hivyo, changamoto tuliyonayo ni usambazaji, kwani njia za kusafirisha umeme zinaenda umbali mrefu. Mfano, hapa Urambo umeme ulikuwa unatoka Tabora hadi Urambo, kisha Kaliua,” alifafanua Mhe. Ndejembi.
Kwa upande wake, Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa TANESCO, Bw. Lazaro Twange, amesema TANESCO imepokea maelekezo ya Mheshimiwa Waziri ya kuhakikisha changamoto za kukatika kwa umeme zinaondoka katika wilaya hizo, pamoja na kushirikiana na wananchi katika kulinda na kutunza miundombinu ya umeme.
“Tumepokea maagizo ya Mheshimiwa Waziri kwamba, kuanzia katika kituo cha kupokea na kupoza umeme, tuhakikishe tunatunza miundombinu ya umeme. Kituo cha Urambo kimeanza kazi, na tutahakikisha changamoto za upatikanaji wa umeme kwa wilaya za Kaliua na Urambo zinaondoka ili kuwafikia wateja kwa ufanisi,” alisema Bw. Twange.
Akizungumzia maendeleo ya mradi wa Kiwanda cha Kuzalisha Nguzo za Zege chini ya Kampuni Tanzu ya TCPM, Mkuu wa Wilaya ya Tabora Mjini, Mhe. Upendo Wella, amemshukuru Mheshimiwa Rais Dk Samia Suluhu Hassan kwa uwekezaji wa takribani Sh bilioni 7 katika kiwanda hicho, ambapo kukamilika kwake kutachangia upatikanaji wa ajira kwa wakazi wa Tabora na mikoa jirani.
Ziara ya Mhe. Ndejembi imelenga kukagua maendeleo ya miradi ya umeme katika Mkoa wa Tabora, ambapo amekagua Kituo cha Kupokea na Kupoza Umeme cha Uhuru, Urambo, pamoja na ujenzi wa Kiwanda cha Kutengeneza Nguzo za Zege, Tabora Mjini.
