Sh bilioni 600 zatengwa ujenzi miundombinu Dar

DAR ES SALAAM: ZAIDI ya Sh bilioni 600 zimewekezwa katika ujenzi wa miundombi- nu ya Mabasi Yaendayo Haraka (BRT) jijini Dar es Sa- laam, mradi unaotekelezwa kwa awamu sita kwa lengo la kupunguza msongamano wa magari na kurahisisha usafiri kwa wakazi na wageni wa
jiji hilo.

Akizungumza jijini Dar es Salaam jana, Meneja wa Ujenzi wa Mradi wa BRT kutoka Wakala ya Barabara Tanzania (TANROADS), Frank Mbilinyi alisema hadi sasa awamu mbili zimekamilika na zinaendelea kutumika huku awamu ya tatu ikiwa imefikia asilimia 98 ya utekelezaji.

Alieleza kuwa awamu ya kwanza inahusisha barabara kutoka katikati ya jiji hadi Kimara, ambayo imekamilika na imekuwa ikitumika tangu mwaka 2025.

Awamu ya pili ni barabara ya Kilwa hadi Mbagala, nayo imekamilika na inatoa huduma kwa wananchi.

Kwa upande wa awamu ya tatu, alisema inahusisha ujenzi kutoka katikati ya jiji kupitia barabara ya Nyerere hadi Gongolamboto, ambayo ujenzi umefikia asilimia 98 na unatarajiwa kukamilika Aprili mwaka huu kabla ya kukabidhiwa rasmi serikalini.

Mbilinyi alifafanua kuwa awamu ya nne inaanzia katikati ya jiji kuelekea Tegeta kupitia Barabara ya Ally Hassan Mwinyi, na itahusisha pia kipande cha Mwenge hadi Ubungo kitakachounganishwa na njia ya Morogoro.

Utekelezaji wa awamu hii umefikia asilimia 50 na unatarajiwa kukamilika ifikapo Desemba 2026.

Aidha, awamu ya tano itahusisha ujenzi kuanzia Barabara ya Mandela (Ubungo) kuelekea Bandarini, pamoja na barabara ya Tabata kuanzia Segerea, kukatiza Mandela hadi Kigogo.

Kwa sasa, maandalizi yanaende- lea ikiwemo mchakato wa kumpata mkandarasi. Awamu ya sita ipo katika hatua ya mpango na itahusisha Barabara ya Mwai Kibaki na kuendeleza miundombinu iliyopo, ikiwemo kupanua kutoka Kimara hadi Mbezi, na kuongeza mtandao wa awamu ya pili kutoka Mbagala Rangitatu hadi Vikindu.

Alisema awamu ya kwanza hadi ya tatu zinafadhiliwa na Benki ya Dunia huku awamu ya nne hadi ya sita zikifadhiliwa na Shirika la Maendeleo la Ufaransa (AFD).

Kuhusu changamoto za ujenzi, Mbilinyi alisema kulikuwa na kero kwa watumiaji wa barabara katika maeneo yanayoendelea kujengwa, lakini wakandarasi walichukua hatua za kujenga barabara za michepuko ili kupunguza msongamano.
