Wizara yafafanua maji Uwanja Mkapa
DAR ES SALAAM; Wizara ya Utamaduni, Sanaa na Michezo imetoa ufafanuzi juu ya video inayosambaa kwenye mitandao ya kijamii ikionesha kuvuja maji katika moja ya sehemu ya Uwanja wa Benjamin Mkapa
Wizara imesema tukio hilo limetokana na ukarabati mkubwa unaondelea katika uwanja huo ambao mpaka sasa umefikia asilimia 11 na unatarajiwa kukamilika Agosti 2024 kulingana na mkataba wa mkandarasi.
“Hata hivyo kutokana na uhitaji mkubwa wa kufanyika kwa mechi za Ligi ya Mpira wa Miguu Afrika (AFL) na mechi chache za Ligi Kuu Tanzania Bar,a imeilazimu wizara iruhusu uwanja huo utumike wakati baadhi ya kazi zikiwa zinaendelea zikiwemo za ukarabati wa mifumo ya maji,umeme,viyoyozi na viti.
“Aidha,wizara inawasihi wananchi na wadau wa michezo kupuuza upotoshaji unaoendelea kufanywa na baadhi ya watu kuhusu uwanja huo na kuleta taharuki isiyo ya lazima,” imesema taarifa hiyo.
