Tanzania, Ghana kushirikiana kuwainua wataalam wa wanajiolojia
ACCRA: Viongozi wa Chama cha Wanajiolojia Tanzania (TGS) na Taasisi ya Wanasayansi wa Jiolojia kutoka Ghana (GhIG) wamekutana na kufanya mazungumzo kuona namna pande hizo mbili zinaweza kushirikiana katika maeneo yanayohusu maendeleo ya wataalamu jiolojia.
Katika mazungumzo hayo yaliyofanyika Septemba 2, 2026, jijini Accra, Ghana, yalihudhuriwa na Naibu Katibu Mkuu wa TGS, Ebeneza Mollel, na Rais wa GhIG, Crisler Ankrah, pamoja na viongozi wengine.
Katika mkutano huo, pande hizo zilibadilishana uzoefu kuhusu uendeshaji wa taasisi za wataalamu wa sayansi za ardhi na kubaini maeneo ya ushirikiano kwa ajili ya kuendeleza taaluma hiyo katika nchi zote mbili.
Akizungumza katika mkutano huo,Ebeneza alisisitiza umuhimu wa ushirikiano kati ya wataalamu wa sayansi za ardhi kutoka Tanzania na Ghana, pamoja na namna pande hizo zinavyoweza kunufaika kupitia ushirikiano huo.
“Tanzania na Ghana zimekuwa na uhusiano wa muda mrefu tangu kipindi cha harakati za kupigania uhuru dhidi ya ukoloni. Muhimu zaidi, nchi zote mbili zina wataalamu mahiri na wenye uzoefu katika sayansi za ardhi, bila kusahau utajiri wa jiolojia wa nchi hizo,” alieleza Ebeneza.
Alisema kuanzisha uhusiano kati ya taasisi hizo mbili kutawawezesha si tu kubadilishana uzoefu, bali pia kuweka mikakati ya kuimarisha taaluma ya sayansi za ardhi katika nchi zote mbili.
Kwa upande wake, Ankrah alisema mazungumzo hayo yamefanyika kwa wakati muafaka na kusisitiza kuwa, kutokana na manufaa yanayoweza kupatikana kupitia ushirikiano uliopendekezwa, pande zote zinapaswa kufanya kazi kwa karibu ili kuharakisha mchakato wa kuurasimisha.
“Baba yetu wa Taifa, Kwame Nkrumah, aliwahi kusema kwamba tunapaswa kuungana, totauti na hapo ni kuangamia. Wataalamu wa sayansi za ardhi nchini Tanzania, Ghana na kwingineko wanapaswa kuungana ili kuendeleza na kulinda maslahi na uadilifu wa taaluma yetu,” aliongeza Ankrah.
