Days of the week in Swahili language follow Arabic calendar system
The first day is Saturday and the last day is Friday.

Friday
As you can see, telling days of the week in kiswahili is so
Simple because,is like counting from number one to five
as equivalent of Saturday is different
When you say “juma mosi”this end part of the “pili”which means
second or two is equivalent to Sunday.
When you say “jumatatu”as usual the end part “Tatu”refers to
third or three which means Monday,when you say”juma nne”
the end part “nne”refers to fourth or four which means Tuesday
In English.lasty we have “jumatano”as usual the end part “tano”
refers to fifth or five which means Wednesday in English
Then you go for “Alhamis”which is equivalent to Thursday in
English and”Ijumaa”means Friday in English.
