Mbinu za kukabiliana na tatizo la afya ya akili zatajwa

Ongezeko la gharama za maisha na hali ngumu ya uchumi inatajwa kuwa sababu ya kukua kwa tatizo la afya ya akili.
Mkurugenzi Mkazi hapa nchini wa Shirika la Afya Ulimwenguni (WHO), Dr Zablon Yoti ameelezea umuhimu wa kufanya mazoezi ya mwili kama njia ya kujenga utimamu wa afya ya akili.
Monica Kihanga ambaye ni mtaalamu wa saikolojia, amesema kufanya mazoezi ni njia mojawapo ya kuondokana na msongo wa mawazo unaosababisha tatizo hilo na hata kusababisha vifo.

WHO imefanya kampeni ijulikanayo kama ‘Walk the Talk’ iliyowashirikisha wadau wa taasisi mbalimbali kwa kutembea kilomita 5 jijini Dar es Salaam ili kuiunga mkono serikali katika maadhimisho ya Siku ya Afya ya Akili hapo kesho.
Kwa mujibu wa ripoti ya shirika hilo ya mwaka 2019 iliyotolewa hivi karibuni inaonesha kuwa kati ya watu 5 mmoja ana tatizo la afya ya akili.
