IRINGA: Shirika la Hand in Hand Eastern Africa – Tanzania (HIHEA) limezindua rasmi ofisi yake mkoani Iringa na kuanza utekelezaji wa mradi wa Inua 2, hatua inayolenga kuwainua kiuchumi wananchi 8,000 kupitia ujasiriamali, kilimo, na ufugaji wa kisasa.
Akizungumza katika hafla ya uzinduzi huo, Kaimu Katibu Tawala wa Mkoa wa Iringa, Elias Luvanda, amesema serikali inategemea shirika hilo kuwajengea uwezo wanawake na vijana katika usimamizi wa biashara na maandalizi ya mipango biashara.
Mafunzo hayo yatawawezesha wanufaika kupata mitaji kutoka taasisi za fedha na mikopo ya asilimia 10 inayotolewa na halmashauri.
Mkurugenzi wa shirika hilo, Jane Sabuni, alibainisha kuwa mradi huo utatekelezwa kwa miaka mitatu kwa zaidi ya Sh Bilioni 2.8 huku asilimia 70 ya fedha hizo zikielekezwa moja kwa moja kwa walengwa.
Alisisitiza kuwa shirika lao haitoi mikopo ya fedha moja kwa moja, bali inatumia mbinu ya kipekee ya hatua nne inayojumuisha: kuunda vikundi vya kijamii, kutoa mafunzo ya biashara, kurahisisha upatikanaji wa mikopo kutoka taasisi za kifedja, na kuunganisha wanufaika na masoko mapana.
Amesema mbiinu inayotumiwa na shirika lao tayari imeonesha matokeo makubwa katika mikoa mingine sita ambako shirika hilo linafanya kazi, ikiwemo Arusha, Kilimanjaro, na Singida.

Aidha, amesema mradi huo unalenga makundi ya wanawake kwa asilimia 80, ukigusia changamoto za kijinsia zinazowazuia wanawake kushiriki kikamilifu katika uchumi.
“Tunashirikisha pia wanaume na viongozi wa jamii ili kubadili mitazamo hasi na kuhakikisha wanawake wanapata muda na uhuru wa kufanya maamuzi ya kifedha katika ngazi ya kaya,” amesema.
Uzinduzi wa ofisi ya Iringa ni sehemu ya Mkakati wa Uharakishaji (Acceleration Strategy) wa 2025–2030, unaolenga kusaidia wajasiriamali zaidi ya 50,000 nchini Tanzania na Kenya kufikia faida ya dola 15 kwa siku .
Naye Meneja wa Hand in Hand tawi la Iringa, Amos Kassanga, amesema awamu ya kwanza itaanza katika Manispaa ya Iringa na Halmashauri ya Wilaya ya Iringa, ikihusisha kata 12 na walengwa 4,000, kabla ya kutanuliwa katika wilaya ya Kilolo na maeneo mengine.
Amesema mradi unategemewa kutoa mafunzo ya vitendo ikiwemo matumizi ya mashamba darasa ili kuongeza tija katika uzalishaji.
