Vitabu vipya kuongeza umahiri wanafunzi MUHAS

DAR ES SALAAM: WANAFUNZI wa Chuo Kikuu cha Afya na Sayansi Shirikishi Muhimbili (MUHAS) wametakiwa kutumia vitabu vipya vilivyozinduliwa na Profesa David Ngasapa chuoni hapo leo Februari 25 ili kuongeza ufanisi wa wanafunzi.

Kwa kufanya hivyo, wanafunzi hao watapata elimu inayozingatia umahiri na kuwaandaa kuwa madaktari bora baadaye. Pia itawapa urahisi wa kujifunza kwenye kliniki.

Akizungumza wakati wa uzinduzi wa vitabu hivyo chuoni hapo, Profesa wa somo la Anatomia, David Ngasapa ametaja kilichompelekea kuandika vitabu hivyo kuwa ni upungufu wa vitabu chuoni hapo, akidai kuwa kipindi cha nyuma vilipungua ila kwa sasa havipatikani kabisa.

“Mfano kitabu kimoja cha Anatomia kilikuwa kimoja, wanafunzi wanatoa wanafunzi wakawa wanatoa nakala mwishoni hakionekani,” amesema Prof Ngasapa.

Ametaja sababu nyingine vitabu vilivyokuwa vikitumika kipindi cha nyuma viliandikwa kwa lugha ngumu ya Kiingereza na viliandikwa kwa ajili ya wanafunzi wao ambao lugha hiyo ni ya kwanza kwao, ambapo kwa MUHAS Kingereza ni lugha ya tatu.

“Sababu nyingine hata mifano iliyotolewa katika vile vitabu inamtatanisha mwanafunzi kuelewa, sababu nyingine vimeandikwa kiasi kwmaba vinahamasisha wanafunzi kukariri badala ya kuelewa. Pia mfumo wa elimu wa enzi hizo umepitwa na wakati,” amesema Prof. Ngasapa.

Kwa kutaja sababu hizo, Prof. Ngasapa amesema kupitia kitabu hicho, chuo kina lengo la kumwezesha mwanafunzi kuelewa kinachofundishwa na sio kutumia njia ya kukariri.

Amezungumzia utofauti wa vitabu hivyo na vilivyopita kwa kusema kuwa lugha iliyotumika katika vitabu vya sasa ni rahisi Zaidi ambayo itampa mwanafunzi uelewa wa haraka na ufanisi kwenye utendaji. Lakini pia vinaendana na mfumo wa elimu unaozingatia umahiri.

Kwa upande wake, Prof. Agricola Joachim, Kaimu Rasi, Ndaki ya Tiba amesema MUHAS inajivunia kuwa na Profesa Ngasapa na kumpongeza kwa hatua ya kuandika vitabu hivyo ambavyo vitasaidia wanafunzi wengi chuoni hapo.

“Tunajivunia kuwa na mwalimu kama huyu, pia kama chuo kuwa na mwalimu kama huyu, tunatoa wito kuwa na walimu wengine waweze kutuandika vitabu,” amesema Agricola Joachim.
