GST, KIGAM zasaini MoU kufanya tafiti za Jiosayansi
WIZARA ya Madini kupitia Taasisi ya Jiolojia na Utafiti wa Madini (GST) na Taasisi ya Jiosayansi na Rasilimali Madini ya Korea Kusini (KIGAM) zimesaini Hati ya Makubaliano (MoU) ya kufanya tafiti za pamoja za Jiosayansi.
Hafla ya utiaji saini imefanyika jiijini Seoul, Korea Kusini wakati ya ziara ya Ujumbe wa Tanzania ulioongozwa na Naibu Waziri wa Madini Dk Steven Kiruswa kushiriki Mkutano wa wadau wa madini mkakati ulioandaliwa na Ubalozi wa Tanzania nchini Korea Kusini kwa kushirikiana na Wizara ya Biashara, Viwanda na Nishati ya Korea Kusini na wadau wa Sekta Binafsi kutoka Tanzania na Korea Kusini.
Hati hiyo pamoja na masuala mengine itahusisha mashirikiano kwenye kufanya miradi ya pamoja ya utafiti wa jiolojia, jiokemia na utafiti wa kina wa jiofizikia ili kuibua maeneo mapya yenye madini muhimu na madini mkakati.
Maeneo mengine ya makubaliano hayo ni pamoja na kuendeleza miradi ya pamoja ya utafiti wa majanga ya asili, kujengeana uwezo zaidi wa kitaalam na mafunzo kwenye kada ya jiosayansi na utafiti wa madini, kufanya tafiti za uchenjuaji madini, kuandaa mifumo ya utunzaji wa taarifa za jiosayansi na kuimarisha maabara ya GST.
Kabla ya utiaji saini, Ujumbe wa Tanzania ulipata fursa ya kujifunza shughuli mbalimbali zinazofanywa na Taasisi ya KIGAM ikiwa ni pamoja na masuala ya maabara, utafiti wa njia mbalimbali za uchenjuji madini hususan madini mkakati, utafiti wa teknolojia za utengenezaji wa vifaa vya teknolojia ya kijani ikiwa ni pamoja na betri za magari ya umeme, utambuzi wa majanga ya asili ikiwa ni pamoja na mitetemo na milipuko na kutembelea Chuo cha Jiosayansi na Rasilimali Madini kinachomilikiwa na KIGAM.
Akielezea Ushirikiano huo ulioafikiwa, Dk Kiruswa ameishukuru Serikali ya Korea Kusini kupitia KIGAM kwa kukubali kushirikiana na Serikali ya Tanzania kupitia GST kufanya tafiti za jiosayansi na kuwajengea uwezo watanzania na kuahidi kufuatilia utekelezaji wa Hati hiyo.
